Jeff Hood, lead Pastor

Jeff is a native Northern Californian, growing up in Sacramento, and has been married to his beautiful wife, Teresa since 1986. They have two adult children: son, Brandon and his wife Alex, and daughter Taylor. However, the boss is grandson number one, Isaac.

Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from California State University, Sacramento and a Master of Church Music degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Though he has been on staff at FBC as Worship Pastor since 1993, he became Lead Pastor in August 2020.

Jeff believes that the local church is “the hope of the world,” Jesus’ “plan A” for reaching people with his story… and there’s no “plan B.”

Jeff loves sports, both watching and participating. He loves to golf and is a big fan of the San Jose Sharks and the Oakland… well, Las Vegas Raiders (yes, he has both pride and poise). He also loves to play games, read, and spend time with his family. His musical tastes are rather eclectic. It wouldn’t be unusual to find him listening to Beethoven’s 7th Symphony or Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” followed up with Bruce Springsteen or Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, veer off to Van Morrison or Metallica, then finish up with Led Zeppelin or The Who.

Jeff’s favorite movie is The Godfather, so he never takes sides with anyone against the family. Ever.

Teresa Hood, Children's Minister

After attending a Children’s Ministry Conference in 1998, Teresa knew that God was calling her into full-time church ministry. However, it wasn’t until 2006 that she joined her Worship Pastor husband, Jeff Hood, on staff at FBC Fairfield as the Children’s Minister. She and Jeff have been at FBC since 1993.

They have been married since 1986 and have two adult children (one married) and the greatest grandson in the world! Teresa has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University, and has earned a Master degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Touro University. Her previous work experience was in Private/Corporate Christian Education, Human Resources and Business.

Teresa enjoys education, reading, hiking, exercise, spending time with her family and hunting for good deals while shopping! She loves her beagle, Belle, as well as watching HGTV and coming up with projects for her husband to do. She figures that if she has to tolerate his sense of humor, the least he can do is some work around the house.

diana hayes, office manager

Married since 1986 to her wonderful husband, John, Diana is mom to three grown children and has been blessed with seven amazing grandchildren! She also has a dog named Jennifer.

Though she’s been a part of FBC since her kids were small, she came on staff in 2016. She is heavily involved in Student Ministry leadership and has also helped lead women’s small groups. Serving is one of her spiritual gifts, and serving the member of FBC is what she enjoys most about her job.

Diana enjoys hiking, camping, and being outdoors any chance she gets! She also enjoys hanging out with her family and going on “adventures” with her husband whenever they are able.
